ARI Proving to be a Winner with Windows at Wyncote House

“They had the best prices and a much better product than anyone else,” said Susan Sykes, property manager at Wyncote House. And that was the bottom line, after an intense 3 year bidding process which was eventually won by Multi Housing Depot by ARI. The Pennsauken-based company has long been known as one of the foremost master distributors of major appliances and kitchen cabinets along with manufacturing countertops to the property management industry. In just the last two years, they have expanded their presence with window and door sales and installations, bringing the same professional expertise for which they are widely known.

Wyncote House, located in Montgomery County, PA is just one of more than 10 projects currently in the works at ARI and is the largest they have undertaken to date. The entire 9-story majestic high-rise community is replacing all the windows and patio doors in its 300+ units in addition to more than three dozen commercial spaces within the property. It includes the installation of almost 1500 aluminum framed Low-E glass double windows and nearly 500 commercial grade Low-E glass sliding patio doors. The thermally efficient windows and doors prevent drafts and convective heat loss typical of single pane aluminum framed windows. “We also have certain areas with stationary windows that cannot be removed. However, ARI, using a special electrostatic paint was able to make them all look brand new,” said Sykes who has been property manager at Wyncote House for more than 10 years.

Owned and managed by Kravitz Properties, Wyncote House was built in 1961 and this is the first time that the windows and doors are being replaced. Thus, the company went to great lengths to determine with whom they would entrust the project, “Our entire team, including lawyers and engineers, reviewed all the proposals from various companies and even toured the Silver Line plant in New York where the windows and doors are manufactured. After exhaustive research it was unanimous that ARI was by far the best choice for the job,” said Sykes.

The project began in December and is expected to be completed in the spring. Because the property is one of the most desired apartment communities in the area, many of the residents have been there for several years and initially had concern as to how the massive project would impact them. “Projects that include renovations of this magnitude can sometimes be disruptive to the residents,” said ARI project manager Sam Bell. “Being mindful of that, our team works with extreme efficiency and care to complete each unit in the minimum amount of time, with most being finished in a single day. Our installation crew is very courteous and consciously works to make the entire evolution of the project easy on the residents. Before we began, they had expressed their concerns but once their windows were installed and the results could be seen, many residents could not wait until we started on their unit. We have received consistent positive feedback and many have been thanking our installers for a job well done.”
